Manual chats allow you to keep tabs on your conversations outside of your Telegram inbox!

How to create manual chats

First, press the “+Create Chat” button on the right hand side of your 3RM dashboard.

You can then supply a direct link to the conversation and a title for the chat. Org name, username, whatever best fits your needs. This direct link will be clickable in your 3RM dashboard, but it will not update the way Telegram conversations do. This is because 3RM was created to work in conjunction with Telegram. However, the 3RM team understands that contacts often must be engaged across multiple channels. By tying your Telegram conversations to conversations on other platforms, you can more accurately assess the status of a lead.

Once you have created the conversation in 3RM, you can add notes and a few properties to help make these conversations more useful in your user journey assessment. You can also press the "Share" button (third in the righthand corner) to view the conversation on its native platform.

Important note: Organizing your inbox by "Latest Message" prioritizes recent interactions, potentially burying manual chats (given that they are not in Telegram and as such do not update message history); therefore, using universal search is crucial. The universal search feature enables access to all associated chats with an account, ensuring comprehensive visibility of communication history in regards to a given contact.

Best Practices for Manual Chats

Keeping in mind that the conversations you import from inboxes outside of Telegram will not auto-update in 3RM, there is still a valuable reason to track the conversations you have with 3RM: Holistic Customer Relationship Management. Thanks to the power of Smart Lists, you can even filter your inbox to find your external conversations exclusively. Filtering your inbox using manual chats as a custom filter allows your team to target leads who have engaged in discussions off Telegram, ensuring more tailored communication.

While external inbox conversations may not auto-update in 3RM, manually tracking them within our system ensures that all interactions with a customer or organization are consolidated in one place. This “whole” view enables better understanding of the customer's needs and status, leading to more personalized and effective communication.
